This was actually going to be a post with pictures of players from all the teams featured today, but, since the majority of the player's have yet to receive their 'shirts are forbidden' memo, this post will be soley in honor of the Host Nation.

Timo Hildebrand - #23 Germany's #3 Goalie. Although, with arms like that, he should totally be number 1!!

All the pics of the German team were from the World Cup Slash comm. Who are apparently seasoned veterans in the 'must find homoerotic pics of footballers' category.

world_cup_slash I found it yesterday. There's a profile of the Mexican team which has a very nice pic of Marquez. Someone also posted a profile of England. So much pretty and it's almost negated by the combined fug of Rio Ferdinand and Peter Crouch!

Yeah, talk about last minute. How long have they known which 32 teams would be present?

Yes, but he'll be playing for Chelsea next season. Which means I get to see the pretty every week and hate him at the same time!

I guess there was some concern that he wasn't 100%. The announcers also mentioned some controversy over the fact that he waited 3 days to announce his injury after the friendly.
