Tuesday TV Time
Jan. 18th, 2006 01:46 amI really wish I could have joined you guys for the drinking game but, us West Coasters are lame.
NCIS - I honestly have no idea why I tuned in again this week other than there really wasn't anything else on. It's not bad, per se. Although some of the "quippy banter" sounds both contrived and forced. But, Abby's cute and smart and called Gibbs 'ma'am'. Ziva could be hot if they weren't always pairing her up with fucking Tony. And the lame UST weren't so obviously screaming 'see! she's not a lesbian'.
Supernatural - I get more and more impressed with show every week. Plus, it delivers on the chills which is more than can be said for Master of Horrors even if they had an episode with actual lesbians on it.
Although, I do wonder if Dean's crisis of faith will be carried over into the next episode. Or the fact that, essentially, he was willing to commit suicide so that someone he thought "worthy" could live.
SVU - I've come to the conclusion that Benson has metamorphosized from a lesbian into a drag queen. Because that ep was just soo campy, and MH was playing Benson so frakkin' seriously it was just over the top. Has there ever been an episode in which Benson goes through her entire Hierarchy of Goodness and Light several times over? More importantly, has there ever been an episode in which every one of our Heroes jumped to conclusions on every aspect of the case? Like damn guys you might wanna do some actual investigating and get some facts first.
And Elliot's the one getting taken off the case because it hits too close to home? Somewhere there's a bunch of pots screaming about kettles.
The only good thing I have to say about Casey's hair is at least now her eyebrows match! And, once again, Casey loses another case. And, once again, she gets sandbagged by another witness. C'mon guys, it's really getting old now. You know what I'd like to see? One of Our Heroes batting their eyelashes and throwing Olivia's breasts in Casey's face, and Casey telling them 'no, I am not falling for the Bodacious Ta-Ta's of Distraction. If ya'll want this warrant either Olivia actually puts out this time, or you detectives are gonna have to do some actual detecting.'.

on 2006-01-18 08:21 pm (UTC)Bwahaha! And word. Casey has been too easy so far. Oliska doesn't even need to bat her teary lashes at her ..she just crumples. Good to see her display even a trace of spine for a change.
I haven't read your Supernatural comments yet. I'm trying to stay away from it until
Re: svu
on 2006-01-18 09:00 pm (UTC)What's funny is how easily Olivia is swayed by her own personal triggers. Is Olivia treating you like crap? Well then, just mention that you were raped, and suddenly, she's all Momma Bear, Defender of the Victimized. Rape angle not working? Oh, just mention your crappy mother and how much she didn't love you.
We're supposed to see what happened to Ella as a tragedy or something and all I can think is - maybe justice would have been served if the lead Detective had used her head instead of her ass!

on 2006-01-18 09:10 pm (UTC)As for Supernatural, even without the slashy subtext, this show really is quite good. Shouldn't surprise me considering it's X-Files pedigree, but the McG thing throws me off.
