Sanctuary Spoilers
Oct. 26th, 2009 10:14 pmThis is for the two Sanctuary fans on my f-list.
According to Kristin's latest Spoiler Chat on E-Online:
Penelope in York, Pa.: Is Ashley Magnus really dead on Sanctuary?
Sources confirm that yes, Ashley Magnus really died on Syfy's Sanctuary, and that Emilie Ullerup has left the cast of the show. Are you guys bummed to hear that, or are you OK with the change?
Like I said - well... crap! The good news is - this totally frees up another hour on my TV viewing schedule because with Ashley gone I think I'm done with this show. Kate drives me absolutely up the wall and, at the moment, I don't have the time or energy to rant about all the things that are wrong with the character. As much as I enjoy Amanda Tapping, my main investment in this show was Magnus' relationship with her daughter. More importantly, I thought I was signing up for an Amanda Tapping vehicle *not* an 'Amanda Tapping vehicle but really it's all about Robin Dunne'. I'm sure the actor's a nice guy and all but Will is a boring drip (who should die in a fire but, apparently, that fate was reserved for Ashley) and it kinda astounds me that he's (character and actor) placed by the show at the same level as Tapping.
Maybe one day the SciFi.. oops, I'm sorry.. the SCYFY Channel will have the balls to air a genre show actually lead solely by a female character. Mind you, I'm not holding my breath, but it sure is nice to dream.
